Associate Professor Dr. Noraziah Abu Bakar, from the Faculty of Law at Universiti Teknologi MARA, is a distinguished academic with an impressive legal background. Her academic journey includes LLB (Hons) and LLM degrees from the University of Malaya, followed by a PhD in Law from UiTM.
Her research expertise initially focused on Malaysian Land Law, particularly on issues related to conveyancing. Dr. Noraziah's doctoral thesis delved into Malaysian Land Law and Conveyancing, setting the foundation for her specialization in this field. She has expanded her consultancy work to include the native land rights, collaborating on a project with TNB Research to create a fair compensation scheme for the Orang Asli affected by the development of a hydroelectric system in Kuala Lipis, Pahang, and Nenggiri Kelantan.
Currently, she holds the position of Deputy Chairperson for Lembaga Rayuan Negeri Selangor and Negeri Sembilan under the Town Country and Planning Act 1976. Dr. Noraziah is actively engaged in furthering her research, currently focusing on Lot Lidi from a legal perspective, a project funded by INSPEN.
