Zulkifli Badruddin

Zulkifli Badruddin is a seasoned professional with a diverse career spanning finance, strategy, and business development. Graduating with dual degrees from West Virginia University, USA, he commenced his journey as a Consultant in government and agriculture projects before transitioning to Marketing and Business Development in an international soft drink company.

Notably, Zulkifli spent 16 pivotal years at what was then the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE), now Bursa Malaysia, where he excelled as a Senior Listing Officer. His analytical prowess and attention to detail were instrumental in various facets of the exchange's operations, including policy analysis, regulatory governance, and corporate planning. He played a key role in the rebranding and demutualisation of KLSE, transforming it into Bursa Malaysia Berhad.

Post his tenure at Bursa Malaysia, Zulkifli ventured into consulting, leveraging his expertise in public relations, investor relations, and Islamic finance. His passion for nurturing Malaysian startups and SMEs led him to Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (BioeconomyCorp) in 2007. Here, he held significant roles, culminating as Vice President, Business Funding and Services. His responsibilities revolved around securing funding and fostering the growth of companies within BioeconomyCorp, facilitating funding worth hundreds of millions for diverse enterprises.

Beyond his role at BioeconomyCorp, Zulkifli holds advisory positions in various companies involved in finance, renewable energy, and business development. He offers consultancy services encompassing funding, corporate structuring, business planning, and governance to startups, SMEs, and corporates. His multifaceted roles also extend to advisory positions within trade chambers and as a Special Advisor to the Honorary Consul of Liberia, Malaysia.
