Dr Roshayani Arshad, with a background in Financial Accounting, Sustainability, and Inclusive Growth, embarked on her professional journey as an audit junior after completing the Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams in the United Kingdom. Transitioning into academia, Dr. Roshayani has since spearheaded numerous impactful research and consultancy projects in various domains.
As an academician, Dr. Roshayani's focus has been on financial accounting and sustainable investment reporting, along with impact assessment studies. Notably, her role as a senior research fellow at Permodalan Nasional Berhad provided her with invaluable insights into the potential of education in community empowerment by fostering mindset shifts and bolstering confidence. Collaborations with prominent regulatory bodies in Malaysia, including the Companies Commission of Malaysia, Registry of Societies, and Agensi Inovasi Malaysia (AIM), have further enriched her expertise.
At AIM, a statutory body dedicated to fostering innovation and sustainable development, Dr. Roshayani served as a lead consultant in 2018. Her responsibilities included the development of impact assessment tools and reports for various sustainability initiatives under the Social Outcome Fund project.
The culmination of her research endeavors and consultancy experiences has significantly influenced Dr. Roshayani's leadership perspective. During her tenure as Chief Executive of Intec Education College, a subsidiary of UiTM, from September 2021 to September 2023, she instituted a series of initiatives yielding positive and measurable outcomes. Under her leadership, Intec Education College introduced the Intec Shared Future initiative, advocating for equity in higher education by expanding access to underserved communities.
Recognizing the importance of collaboration in organizational success, Dr. Roshayani forged and nurtured partnerships with key stakeholders during her tenure at Intec Education College. Her commitment to driving growth and fostering inclusivity underscores her dedication to advancing education and sustainability in Malaysia.
